Glass Estimator

Chase Taylor Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced estimator to join a market leading company who manufacturer, supply and install a vast range of glass to the construction industry, including fire rated glass, decorative glass, architectural glazing and more.

This is a full-time role with training and you will be joining their customer/technical team to price enquiries and provide advice to their customers.

Role responsibilities include:

• Researching prices and collecting quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
• Analysing drawings and specifications
• Assisting with bids for new contracts and supporting the activities of buyers
• Checking the client’s requirements
• Keeping an eye on projects to make sure costs stay in line with forecasts
• Drawing up detailed and accurate price lists for everything needed on a construction project
• Considering risk assessments and health and safety requirements
• Maintaining customer information on the CRM system
• Ensure all Sales and Estimating reports are complete and timely
• Maintaining customer confidence whilst keeping information confidential.

Candidate skills & experience:

• Must have current/recent experience working as an estimator within the windows, doors or glazing industry
• Be able to read technical drawings and experience using CAD
• Be computer literate and can use Microsoft Excel
• Have good knowledge and understanding of building regulations
• Have a high level of attention to detail
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Must currently reside in the UK
