Maintenance Engineer

Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer looking for your next challenge? We’re recruiting for a skilled and proactive professional to join our client, who is a leading glass manufacturer.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing machinery, minimizing downtime, and keeping production running efficiently.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Carrying out preventive maintenance and reactive repairs on glass manufacturing equipment, including furnaces, conveyors, and automated systems.
• Diagnosing and fixing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults to keep production running.
• Ensuring health & safety standards are met, performing risk assessments, and maintaining a safe working environment.
• Collaborating with production teams to reduce downtime and improve machine reliability.
• Keeping detailed maintenance records and assisting in machinery upgrades and new installations.
• Working with external contractors and suppliers for repairs and spare parts.

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing or industrial setting (glass industry experience is a plus!).
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, ideally with knowledge of PLC systems.
• Experience working with pneumatics, hydraulics, and automated production machinery.
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
• A problem-solving mindset, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
