Chase Taylor Recruitment are currently working with a successful window and door manufacturer who are currently looking to recruit an experienced production manager to join their team.
Our client is a UK leading manufacturer who have been trading for over 15 years due to their impressive product window and door range and outstanding customer care.
The right person for this role will have experience as a window and door production manager and managing a large number of staff/fabricators.
The role responsibilities:
- Manage production output, ensure daily targets are achieved by the team
- Manage stock levels within the department
- Ensure that staff are working safely in line with the SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) and wearing required PPE where required
- Ensure production quality is to the highest standard, quality audits/remake management
- Planning daily schedules, organising staff resourcing and escalating any issues that may arise, when required
- Carrying out performance reviews with staff and returns to works, ensuring that any absence issues are reported to supervisors on a daily basis
- Review systems/processes to achieve continuous improvement in your department
The candidate:
- Have current or recent experience as a Production Manager within the window and door industry
- Have knowledge of 5s and LEAN manufacturing
- Must have experience managing large numbers of staff
- Excellent and timely decision making skills
- Problem solver
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Demonstrate good people management skills in motivation, development and communication
- Must currently reside in the UK
