Production Manager

Chase Taylor Recruitment are currently working with a successful window and door business who are looking to recruit an experienced Production Manager to join their team and meet the needs of the business.

Our client, has been fabricating and supplying window and doors to the trade market for many years and continues to grow year on year. They are known for their excellent product range and state of the art machinery.

The right candidate for this role will have current/ recent experience as a production manager within the upvc window and door industry.

The role:

• Manage production output, ensure daily targets are achieved by the team
• Manage stock levels within the department
• Ensure that staff are working safely in line with the SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) and wearing required PPE where required
• Ensure production quality is to the highest standard, quality audits/remake management
• Planning daily schedules, organising staff resourcing and escalating any issues that may arise, when required
• Carrying out performance reviews with staff and returns to works, ensuring that any absence issues are reported to supervisors on a daily basis
• Review systems/processes to achieve continuous improvement in your department

The candidate:

• Have current or recent experience as a Production Manager/ Senior Production Supervisor within the window and door industry
• Have knowledge of 5s and LEAN manufacturing
• Must have experience managing large numbers of staff
• Excellent and timely decision making skills
• Problem solver
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Demonstrate good people management skills in motivation, development and communication
• Must currently reside in the UK
